Materials of this type stand out mainly for their high coefficient of friction and constant efficiency, especially at high disc temperatures. These features guarantee excellent and uniform braking throughout the entire race, with less probability of fading. Pads of this type offer poor efficiency at low temperatures – a relatively important factor in the racing environment – and are therefore not suitable for road use.
SR: Sintered compound for track/road use, with a high coefficient of hot friction. It is a material that remains very stable in any type of driving and, with a good cold friction coefficient, is also compatible with road use.
