Surface Guidelines

The Quad Lock Universal Adapter uses a 3M™ VHB 4952 that adheres to smooth, non-textured and non-porous surfaces such as:

  • Plastics such as PC, ABS, PVC, nylon and acrylic.
  • Metals unpainted
  • Uncoated glass

The adhesive does not adhere to the following substrates:

  • Rubber, TPU, TPE
  • Leather
  • Silicone
  • Glass with hydrophobic coating (also known as anti-fingerprint glass, located on the back of most modern smartphones)
  • Soft-touch coating or paint
  • Low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE ), acetal and HDPE.
  • Wood

We strongly recommend that you use a case with the universal adapter if your phone has a glass back.

Please make sure the stand is in place. thoroughly clean and dry before applying the universal adapter.
