At just 1380 grams, this is the wheel performance-obsessed cross-country racers dream of. Developed with input from top professional cyclists looking for a competitive advantage in World Cups and the Olympic Games, it features an ultra-lightweight 29 (360g) full carbon rim for rapid acceleration and climbing without compromising rigidity and durability.

 

The technology with specific carbon layer of adaptive laminate allowed us designing these carbon rims by hand with less material between the spokes. The spoke holes are reinforced with strategically placed layers of carbon in a process that minimizes weight without compromising stiffness and strength. A lighter tire means faster acceleration, more efficient climbing, and immediate response on the terrain. The outer carbon layer features our UD² for a distinctive look and greater durability.

 

Extensive field testing with our professional riders determined that a 25mm inner width was ideal for ride quality. Fast and precise, and optimized tire grip on fast tracks. For more technical trails, some prefer a 30mm width for greater control, so we've created two options. We leave it to your choice, and you can combine both if you want. You could choose the Crossmax Ultimate 25 for the rear to boost acceleration and efficiency, and the Crossmax Ultimate 30 for the front to add confidence and control on rough trails.

The carbon rim is Equipped with 24 straight double butted (same length) double crossed spokes for maximum power transmission and greater vertical absorption. The new, lighter Infinity hub design optimizes lateral stiffness and the lacing maximizes power transmission. Our Instant Drive 360 freewheel with a double ratchet system provides fast engagement and great stiffness to help you get out of corners faster. The rear hub is compatible with optional Shimano HG9, Micro Spline and SRAM Available with Center Lock or 6-bolt 29 brake rotors only and is compatible with a 15x110 front axle and a 12x148 rear axle. Supplied with valves, spare spokes and MTB wheel covers.
